The Tuff Ones chassis was AURORA’s last adaptation of the ThunderJet 500 before the release of the AFX chassis. This durable Pancake chassis design will require regular maintenance including tuning, cleaning, and oiling; just like they did back in the day. This is part of the FUN of HO Slot Car Racing! These slot cars are reproductions of the vintage style collectible slot cars from your past! Compatible with most HO electric racing slot car race track sets including Life-Like®, TYCO®, Mattel®, TOMY® AFX® Racemasters™, auto world®, Model Motoring®, Aurora® Lock & Joiner, Aurora® AFX® Speed-Lok, Marchon®, and Micro Scalextric®. All other release chassis are grey. R1 chassis guide pins are shorter, the pick-up shoe springs are longer, and the R1 chassis wheel base is shorter.
