This is a very rare HO scale playset made by Marx sold through Sears back in the 1960s. It combines the excitement of HO scale railroading and super highway traffic HO slot car racing in one big playset. The Train N’ Turnpike set is complete with 2 cars, 5 train cars, track for both slots cars and train tracks transformer, AC to DC converter 2 car controllers, wiring, knobs for transformer, landscape trees with instructions and a layout guide showing how to hook everything up. There are also 2 copies of old ads showing the original sets sold by Sears. It is in very good played with condition. Someone has cut out the tunnel openings but they are a little rough. With some TLC they can be cleaned up to look very nice. The scenery vacuform base measures 47 1/2 inches by 43 1/2 inches buy 5 inches high. It is a PICK UP ONLY item as it is way to large and fragile to try and ship. The only marking on the scenery base is the work GRIPPER on the back of the board. See photos, and please ask questions.
